Convergence of pontine and proprioceptive streams onto multimodal cerebellar granule cells
Paper summary
Maps sensory and pontine projections at synaptic resolution and finds convergence onto individual cerebellar granule cells. This supports multimodal integration within cells previously discussed as potentially unimodal relays.
Relevance to the project
Supports separate incoming slots that let F combine distinct streams. Functional convergence is a capability to investigate, not a requirement to reproduce cerebellar anatomy.
Anatomical convergence alone does not specify the computation performed.
