How Learning Can Guide Evolution
Paper summary
A simple evolutionary model shows that lifetime learning can reshape the fitness landscape and accelerate discovery of inherited solutions. Acquired settings need not be copied into the genotype for learning to guide selection.
Relevance to the project
Relevant to evolving a builder while individuals adapt during execution. Compare learning-enabled and disabled lineages to isolate evolutionary effects.
The result depends on the toy learning/search and fitness setup.
