Deep Equilibrium Models
Paper summary
Deep equilibrium models solve for fixed points of a shared transformation rather than explicitly storing a deep stack of intermediate layers. Implicit differentiation enables training with memory independent of effective depth; language experiments evaluate the approach.
Relevance to the project
A useful contrast when choosing F dynamics: equilibrium-seeking computation has a different purpose from sustained intrinsic nontrivial activity.
Solver convergence and computational work still matter despite constant-depth memory.
