Re-visiting the echo state property
Paper summary
Examines when input-driven reservoirs forget initial conditions. Counterexamples show why a weight-matrix spectral-radius heuristic is not a general nonlinear echo-state guarantee. Stronger stability conditions and properties of the driving input matter.
Relevance to the project
Assistant interpretation: fading initial conditions is different from sustained endogenous variation. Snapshot spectral radius cannot certify a changing, delayed nonlinear network.
