Triplets of Spikes in a Model of Spike Timing-Dependent Plasticity

Paper summary

Shows that standard pair-based spike-timing plasticity cannot reproduce several experimental protocols. A triplet-based rule with multiple decaying event traces better captures frequency and higher-order timing dependence.

Relevance to the project

Supports multiple history timescales and testing update rules beyond pairwise coincidences. Bounded F histories may encode richer interactions without naming biological state fields.
