QLoRA: Efficient Finetuning of Quantized LLMs
Paper summary
QLoRA fine-tunes low-rank adapters through a frozen quantized base model. Quantization formats, double quantization, and paged optimizer state reduce memory demands while experiments evaluate retained task performance.
Relevance to the project
Relevant to optional local language-model adaptation and explicit memory accounting. Frozen base parameters and mutable adapters are a useful comparison for separate adaptation scopes.
The evaluated language quality does not guarantee stable recurrent simulation behavior.
