TinyLlama: An Open-Source Small Language Model
Paper summary
TinyLlama trains a compact language model using Llama-family architecture and tokenization with efficient implementation choices. Released code and checkpoints support experiments on smaller models despite extensive pretraining.
Relevance to the project
A lightweight optional language-model research platform. It remains a different object from the proposed foundational adaptive neuron.
Small parameter count does not imply small training data or training cost.
